Steelmet, Company

Mr. Nafees Siddiqui, Mr.Anees Siddiqui and Mr.Saeed Siddiqui were brother son of Mr. Rais Siddiqui. Mr. Rais Siddiqui migrated from Bhopal India in 1947. The Siddiquis entered in business in 1960 and established Steelmet company in 1971 dealing in Iron and Steel. In 1975 Steelmet got agency from SAMISSA in South Korea and did a very good business with SAMISSA. In Non-Ferrous metal scrap, Steelmet got very good exporters in Singapore and Malaysia because in 1971-1978 these two countries was exporting much quantity of Aluminum, Copper, Brass and Zinc Scrap. In 1978 USA was entered in export of Non-Ferrous Metal Scrap with huge quantity. Another company Sumair International was established in 1981 dealing in Stainless Steel products alongwith other items as importers and indenting agents in Lahore. After doing long business, Steelmet shifted its office in London 1982. In 1989 Steelmet open its new branch office in New York USA. From 1989 to 1994 Steelmet exported Tin Mill product and Non-Ferrous Metal Scrap to Japan, Taiwan, China and Pakistan. After the death of Mr.Anees Siddiqui the operations of Sumair International were closed in 1996. In 2004 MM Implex was established by the sons of Mr.Anees Siddiqui Mr. Rehan Anees Siddiqui and Mr.Sumair Anees Siddiqui the company deals in Imports: Used computers and computer accessories, compressor, iron and steel scrap. Exports: Computer scrap, garments and hoisery. In 2008 Steelmet established an office in North Sydney Australia run by Mr. Sohail Nafees Siddiqui. In 2009 after the death of Mr. Nafees Siddiqui the operations of the company are running by Siddiqui brothers.
